Resident's ID, such as Ground Clearance for single/multiple Air/Ship crew(s), will be required if no Visitor's Visa or Ground Clearance is attached to purchaser's passport.

How does the process go?

When you're ready to check out,
1. Present your passport at cashier
2. Beside payment, sign on purchase proof ("Covenant of Purchaser of Consumption Tas-Exempt Commodities for Ultimate Export")
3. Receive your passort with the purchase proof stamped and attached onto VISA page*
4. You're all done!
* Never discard/lose this proof until Japan Customs confirms at your departure. You will be charged tax if this proof is discarded/lost.

Only up to 4 items containing rosewood or any materials listed in CITES appendix II are permitted to bring out of Japan per visit/per person, only if they are intended for personal use of purchaser him/herself.
Brazilian rosewood (Jacaranda, or "Dalbergia Nigra") is absolutely prohibited for export/import.
